Comox Business in Action (BIA), Business and Professionals by the Sea, has seen many successes since the Association was incorporated on July 11, 2000.

Creating a strong working relationship with the Town of Comox associations. The BIA has represented progressive views, partnering with the Town to implement the Revitalization of Comox Avenue and creating the Town Circle as the nucleus of activities.

Comox by the Sea is now pedestrian friendly, with wide sidewalks, benches, granite planters filled with interesting plantings, buried hydro lines and new attractive energy efficient lamp standards. The white bulb lighting on the trees add sparkle, inviting both vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

One of the highlights of Comox BIA is the hundreds of hanging moss baskets which each business tenderly cares for throughout the five summer months. The impact of colour and pride in the beautiful gardens make Comox by the Sea a wonderful place to shop, own a business and live.

Marketing Comox by the Sea is critically important and there has been much support for publications and events such as Filberg/Nautical Days and Santa's Light up. Coming this year is a new event, Comox Photo Fest, giving Comox businesses another exciting reason to invite guests to Town.
