Celebrity Chef Demos
Celebrity Chef Nathan Fong will be hosting the Comox By The Sea seafood demonstrations, as well as showcasing his own skills. Demonstrations and recipes are provided by the following Vancouver Chefs: Pino Posteraro from Cioppino’s Mediterranean Grill; Angus An from Maenam; Taryn Wa from Savoury Chef Foods; and Chris Whittaker from Forage.

Fanny Bay Oysters Shucking Championship
International shucking sensation and Guinness Book of World Records holder, Shucker Paddy, will be emceeing the Fanny Bay Oysters Shucking Championship and providing interactive demonstrations throughout the day. The winning shucker will be awarded a trip to the Prince Edward Island Shellfish Festival to compete in the Raspberry Point International Oyster Shucking Championship!
Oceanwise Chowder Challenge
Cheer on Chefs as they compete for the title of ‘Best Chowder’. Public tastings provided. The winning participant will be awarded a trip to Vancouver to compete in the Vancouver Aquarium’s Ocean Wise Chowder Chowdown!
Oceanside Beer & Wine Garden
Beer provided by Vancouver Island Brewing and wine provided by the BC Wine Institute.
